Last night a little dancer came dancin to my door Last night a little angel came pumping on the floor She said, "Come on baby, Ive got a license for love And if it expires, pray help from above because" In the midnight hour, she cried more, more, more With a rebel yell, she cried more, more, more In the midnight hour, babe, more, more, more With a rebel yell, more, more, more, more, more, more She dont like slavery, she wont sit and beg But when Im tired and lonely, she sees me to bed What sets you free and brought you to me, babe What sets you free, I need you here by me because In the midnight hour, she cried more, more, more With a rebel yell, she cried more, more, more In the midnight hour, babe, more, more, more With a rebel yell, more, more, more
saw this in theaters today. fantastic movie. great choreography, and actually a really well developed story - something many action movies simply lack. id wait for a better version to watch this, but its very worth the wait.
very boring with brief moments of things that makes "i spit on your grave" look like a kids movie. dont watch this movie. seriously, it isn't remotely worth it, and has very few redeeming qualities other than pure shock value.
Most of Tv series u mentioned i watched too, so just suggesting that im watching maybe u like it too maybe not:| •Vikings (s2 going on) •The tomorrow people (s1 going on) •Da Vinci's Demons (s2 going on) •Atlantis (s1 finished) • Dracula 2013 (s1 finished)
@Nazdroth i think you could definitely wait to marathon it, i think i may do that myself, i have become a huge believer in the binge watch and even did it with The Walking Dead this year. Make no mistake it is very dark, but the feel isn't like True Detetctive or Broadchurch.. The twists in this are not so on the down low.. this show is more of a "your face and what do you think about that" kinda show.. it is purposely blunt!! If i were you i would watch the pilot see what feel you get from it and then decide on the marathon.. that is what i did for all the shows i watch, True Detective is the only series i just HAD to watch EVERY week :)
The drama was the lest authentic part of this film, the rest of it I really enjoyed. Felt like a lot of the small roles were given to people who lived around where it was being shot. This gave the film some really nice realism and kept me interested through the first hour. Unfortunately, just as it's time for the film to take off, Cage fails to show any acting chops. Also the story starts to feel forced as it looks for a climax that it doesn't really need. Decent film though 7/10
As a mechanical engineer this movie made me laugh, a lot. As a sci-fi fan this movie entertained me. As a history enthusiast I appreciated how it incorperated the actual events leading upto WW1. Not a great movie, but fun enough to watch at least once. It is over before you realise it. It starts a bit slow but after that it is all action.
any horror movie that gets banned is probably pretty messed up. definitely the exorcist for me. The Exorcist" has been banned in the past. In the U.K. it was banned in certain towns so those towns sometimes scheduled bus trips to the movie in other areas. The U.K. also censored the video release until 1999, when it was finally made available to the public. This was due to all of the sensitive material in the movie and other countries had banned it as well such as Ireland. Also surprised that Jacobs ladder wasn't mentioned at least as a top 10. It was one of those movies that I pretty much dismissed as "not being scary" when I was a kid. It wasn't until the late 90's that I came to appreciate these types of films -- scary movies emphasizing psychological conflict rather than physical conflict. After initially seeing the film in the early 90's, I didn't end up getting a chance to watch it again until 2001 (about 10 years after I'd seen it the first time), and it's amazing how much an opinion can change over time. It was almost as though I was watching it for the first time. Since then, I've now seen the movie many times, each time, coming to the same conclusion -- that Jacob's Ladder is a good, well written, clever, supernatural thriller, one that didn't get enough credit when it first came out. At least from me, it didn't. When watching Jacob's Ladder, I definitely see elements of Silent Hill (the famous hospital scene coupled with a nice twist ending). If you're a fan of Silent Hill, then you probably won't have much difficulty recognizing the similarities. I also see references to other movies in there as well. It appears as though several movies got some of their inspiration from Jacob's Ladder. Drama meets supernatural, meets psychological, meets suspense ... is how I'd describe Jacob's Ladder. "Is he traumatized, is he crazy, has he been exposed to some type of biochemical warfare ... What the heck is wrong with this guy", are some of the questions I found myself asking while watching this movie. Psychological horror strikes a raw nerve in me for a variety of reasons. If you're one of those people who're more afraid of what's inside of yourself than outside, I can safely bet that this film will scare the s*** out of you. I've never been comfortable saying things like, "this is one of the best movies of its kind... this is a must see movie" ... seeing as, these types of things are highly subjective. When it comes to movies, I may inevitably love what you completely despise, and vice versa. But if you like the type of movies that I'm into, then Jacobs ladder just might impact you the way it did me.
