LUDICROUS, FAR FETCHED AND VERY TIRESOME. IT'S ALL BEEN DONE BEFORE AND MUCH BETTER. MEL GIBSON IS BAD, EVEN IN COMPARASIN TO HIS COUNTLESS OTHER BAD PERFORMANCES. THIS TYPE OF FILM HAS BEEN DONE WAY TOO MANY TIMES BY GOLDIE HAWN, IT'S GETTING OLD.

Bird on a Wire

BIRD ON A WIRE
(JOHN BADHAM, 1990)
PG-13
1 HOUR 50 MINUTES
Borrowing its name from the film's theme song of the same name by Leonard Cohen, Bird on a Wire is an average story and one you've probably heard before, but what sets it apart are the performances from Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn , casted as Rick Jarmin and Marianne Graves. Almost every memorable moment comes from either Gibson, playing a charming on-the-run felon and jack of all trades, or Hawn, playing the film's eye candy and whinny love interest. The few scenes without either actor is just simplily lost in the unfolding story, but what drives Bird on a Wire is Gibson's comical antics and on screen chemistry with Hawn. Nevertheless, it makes for a so-so, pleasurable movie.
Goldie Hawn owned this movie. It wasn't that good nor that bad.
