Xmas Eve 2013 It was a heart warmer. Loved all the characters. Made me sad to think about Paul Walker not being with us anymore. Merry Xmas To All
It is the night of Nov. 28 2004, and I have just viewed the new holiday movie Noel on TNT. This movie, I felt, was a great heartwarmer. Noel takes all these different people living in New York City who are having problems on Christmas Eve, and blends them together in this one film. You have Rose, who is very depressed and is heartbroken for having to be alone on Christmas and having her mother in the hospital. Mike and Nina, who are a couple with their relationship just about to crash because of Mike's jealousy over any man who just looks at Nina. Artie, who believes that his long deceased wife is reincarnated by the body of Mike. Jules, whose only great memories of Christmas was when he was at a party at the hospital when he was only 14. And lastly, Charlie, who is a mysterious stranger who has come to help rose with her woes and to get a little comfort from her. Yes, I know, this movie just sounds so depressing right now, but it is a great holiday movie with great acting and great actors, and if one sees this film, they'll realize by the time it ends, everything becomes okay for such desperate people and they can be happy again. Noel made me laugh a little, cry some, and it especially gave me a warm heart and soul. This movie is one holiday film to enjoy and should become a classic. I love it so much that I even watched most of the some of the encore presentation, too. I give Noel a big 10.
Woohoo! My birthday is this Sunday. I'm turning 15. I'm hispanic so it's a huge deal when we turn 15 cuz it has been a huge tradition to celebrate the birthdays of girls when they turn 15 in a big way. I'm not doing a big party though, I'm going in vacation. But I am taking pictures at a photo shoot with a really pretty dress and even with a crown :). I'm gonna feel like a princess :) . So Happy Birthday To MEEEEEEEE!!!! :D

Yesterday I was in a play ("Roomers"). It went great. Everyone said I was great and so was our cast. It was a competition to compete at the international thespian thing. I don't know exactly what it's called. Student directors compete to to go compete there. Our director didn't win but our play still was graet. I think we were in second place or third but defenetly not fourth. I'll tell all of you guys more about what the plays about later cuz I'm running out of time.

So lots of love and WTYL.
(wtyl= write to you all later)
A LITTLE BIT OF A DOWNER FOR A CHRISTMAS MOVIE, BUT IT DOES END WITH UPLIFTING MOMENTS. A BIT TOO MUCH FANTASY. GOOD CAST. SUSAN SARANDON DOES EXCEPTIONALLY WELL, BUT THEN AGAIN SHE USUALLY IS GOOD. A FINE FILM, BUT DON'T SEE IT DESTINED TO BE A CLASSIC CHRISTMAS FILM.
Talk about a good movie to see Noel is a very good movie
Joy is just around the corner when Susan Sarandon, Penelope Cruz, Paul Walker, Alan Arkin and Robin Williams even though he had some what of a small roll he was very good. The all fill out an all-star cast in this new holiday classic. As fine standard's lives intertwine on Christmas Eve, a story of companionship, love and healing unfolds against the backdrop of New York City

Ok, I wasn't expecting great things of this movie.. I figured Noel would be one of those feel good love sappy movies.. When choosing this movie from Blockbuster I thought "Hey, why not.." The cast was a very talented line up.. Penelope Cruz, Paul Walker, Susan Sarandon and Alan Arkin.. I figured one of them had to develiver a decent performance.. and here's where I become torn on this movie.. the plot of this movie is whimsical and has a magical holiday quality about it.. however.. it is so overloaded with the whimsy that it becomes a tad hard to swallow at times. I like my sappy movies but this one was a tad too sticky for me.. All though there were times in the movie that I did find myself enjoying it. however...a majority of the time I found my self choking down the sap syrup this movie dished out..

I will say that Susan Sarandon delivered a stand up performance..I'm never really disappointed when I watch her.. and Paul Walker (and quite hunk-a-licious) fits his character well as being a head strong macho cop..

Seeing as this was Chazz Palminterii's movie directorial debut.. it was passable.. however just like a sandwich you stack too much stuff on it and it's bound to either A. fall or B. overwhelm you. I think this did a bit of both.. too much of something is not all ways a good thing.

All in all I'd have to say back to Blockbuster to try again..
Noel (2004): 6/10

Possibly the best movie I've ever watched. Actors give astonishing performances and each story is very strong and moving. Everyone should watch it. Music is also very nice.
