Pure garbage.
I AM SURPRISED THIS DIDN'T GET BETTER REVIEWS. FORD, AND ESPECIALLY HECHE ARE GREAT. SUSPENSEFUL, WELL WRITTEN, FUNNY. IT ALWAYS HELD MY INTEREST. A FINE FILM.

TV
Romancing the Stone meets The Flight of the Phoenix via every other love-hate turns to love-love movie of the last hundred years, this is a predictable if watchable offering. First time screenwriter Michael Browning keeps the dialogue fairly sparky, the chemistry between Ford and Heche palpable, despite the age and sexual preference (of the time) difference (Ford's age is double that of Heche's). Heche is holidaying on an island in the Pacific with her boyf Frank Martin (a typically one-note David Schwimmer) when her demanding boss begs her to fly to a nearby island to oversee a fashion mag photo shoot. She hurriedly enlists the help of the pilot who flew them to the isle (Harrison Ford, a qualified pilot in real-life) to spirit her to the assignment but a lightning strike within bad weather forces them to make an emergency landing somewhere in the south seas. There's a few fun nods to Ford's past as the pilot of the Millennium Falcon amid the banter, the stranded twosome facing water snakes, landfalls and pirates during their time as castaways. Ridiculously, post 9/11 broadcasts of this movie on US TV has seen the line "I've flown with you twice, you've crashed half the time" changed to the nonsensical "I've flown with you twice, you've FLOWN half the time." Pathetic and disrespectful (9/11 HAPPENED AND IT CAN'T BE AIRBRUSHED OUT OF HISTORY), if you ask me.
This movies are the good movies.
