The best. All time fav. Do it!
"You are gonna stop calling me. You are gonna stop paging me. You are gonna forget that I exist."
YES.
1/4 / *****

I've always liked Jesse Bradford as an actor, but the film was awful. Erika Christensen's performance wasn't even as "creepy" as it should have been...it was more....what's the word I'm looking for....oh yeah, "stupid".
Some people think that there is NO movie that I don't like. Well I'm here to tell you that there are. A few prime examples:

Radio

*/****

Yes, Radio. I saw this just out of curiousity, and it turned out to be horrible. Cuba Gooding Jr. makes himself look stupid as Radio, and the dialogue is absolutely jaw-dropping. Plus, the only other time I've seen sap like that was stuck to a tree in my backyard! {shameless attempt at being funny}. But just remember, we weren't teaching Radio; Radio was teaching us.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

**/****

WORST. LOVE STORY. EVER. Well, in the ranks of the Pearl Harbor love story, anyway, with some of the worst dialogue I have ever heard in movies. Great visuals, though.

The Hot Chick

1/2* out of ****

My cousin and sister love this, I watched it whenever they did because I was bored, and guess what? It wasn't funny at all. Plus this film made my hatred for Rob Schneider begin, and I've hated him ever since he made this turdpile.

swimfan

A Fatal Attraction knockoff that had atrocious acting, and it was only 90 mintues, yet seemed like 4 hours.
.....
La la la la la la.
The first time I saw the preview for this movie at Austin Powers III, I couldn't wait to see it. When I rented it on DVD, I was blown AWAY!
Suspenseful drama.

A psychological thriller about a teenager obsessed with a high school swimmer. It seems the older ones will only have Fatal Attraction in mind, yelling "RIP-OFF!!" in every occasion they have. The concept may have been stolen, I still found myself enjoying Swimfan.

Okay, it's clumsy. Very clumsy. There are some huge problems in the scripts. Unlikely sequences are aplenty and you got yourself wondering one question, three words : "how"? But it's done with flair and sensibility where the scandalous love story goes wrong, and an entire life is almost wrecked. The events keep getting more intense, and some sort of tension builds. The suspense level is not particularly high, but you could end up all sweaty while biting your nails.

Jesse Bradford doesn't do so bad, but let's say we could've gotten better as the lead character. Shiri Appleby gets annoyingly bland. After we get past the cheesy Bradford/Appleby couple (and rather weak chemistry) we discover a very important character. Erika Christensen is an enigmatic and playful villain that's very fun to watch. As I said before, the situation goes from tight to super tense. Thanks to good character developpment.

Bottom Line : Swimfan is a fun and suspenseful teen thriller than can be good if you apologize the script clumsiness.

Full review to come.
Wow, I can't believe I just wasted 1.5 hours of my life watching this piece of garbage. Everything was so predictable and outrageously unrealistic (Madison escaping from a cop car, c'mon...). Avoid this at all costs.
