Ya, nice one, one of the best of Tom Cruise, also in my opinion. TY SM! o/

I agree with EnkiHoffa. It's a great film, I would say better and more exciting than the original. I also would say even though it's not one of my favorites I always remember the brilliant use of music in the climax.

If you've never seen it and shut it down after 25mins, you are really not doing yourself any favors.
The story develops throughout the entire movie, the climax occurs later than most films, and the overall pay-off is significant - even though it doesn't begin until the final 20-30mins of the film.
25 minutes into this movie I had to shut it off it was so boring.
This movie is so under rated, its unbeleivable. Tom Cruise is a genius!
it is miles better than the film it is based on. tom cruise was perfect for the role. he can play a financially-successful, vain man well because that's what he is. but he also does a good job playing the depressed man who's life has gone off the rails. the soundtrack is complimentary to the scenes. the emotion comes across really well in this film and it has a great ending. it remains one my favourite films 10/10 sci fi almost in disguise.
Personally, I thought it was one of the best films made. Critics didn't like it, their loss. A wonderful and puzzling film. It makes you think about it after you leave the screen.
:fresh: Vanilla sky has gotten a lot of negative reviews with a few notable exceptions i.e. both Ebert & Roeper and the NY Times liked it. I have to say that most of the criticisms I have read about the movie have been way off the mark except for the budget giving the movie a very polished feel but the polish is an essential motor of the film. I rented it on DVD after seeing an episode of Ebert & Roeper well after the film had been reviewed in which both critics agreed that Vanilla Sky was very underrated. I saw it with very little expectation since E&R are hit or miss with me and I was captivated. If you have seen the film Exiztenz or generally like thinking and have your mind bent Vanilla Sky is worth viewing. It contains very subtle moral messages that are not driven home but are meandered around in a way that is applicable to 'real' life. You'll want to see it at least twice if not many more.
I'm listening to my favourite music right now...it's from the Vanilla Sky and Almost Famous soundtracks...man, Cameron Crowe just knows how to choose supergood music for his movies....

Elmer Bernstein- To Kill A Mockingbird
Enjoyed it quite a bit. The ending was awesome I thought. I am disappointed by all the lame movie reviews saying its bad though.
