Weird Science (1985) Anthony Michael Hall, Kelly LeBrock, Ilan Mitchell-Smith, Bill Paxton, Suzanne Snyder, Judie Aronson, Robert Downey (Jr.), Robert Rusler, D: John Hughes. Two put-upon nerds seeking adventure and girlfriends conjure up the sexy woman of their dreams from their computer . . . then this teen comedy-fantasy runs out of ideas. Fun for a while, but can't sustain an entire feature-length film which becomes so tastelessly juvenile and interminable; it's slightly redeemed by some of Hughes' sharp, clever dialogue and the two leads are likable wimps. Written by the director. Running Time: 94 minutes and rated PG-13 for language, some violence, and partial nudity. **

Okay...well my class Film project is slowly on its way, we have finally completed 2/3 of the script we have one last day of shooting (probably tomorrow) and I feel a little more relaxed because I finally got to "Direct" a scene and while two other members were doing their scene I still had input as to what was going to be filmed! :) :p :D
Anyways I was able to catch a few flicks yesterday and today (plan to watch Hedwig tonight)
Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason
Eh...I was a huge fan of the books so by watching this movie I was horrorfied by the changes in adaptations. Beyond that this movie was identical to the first movies-which made the whole experience redundant! There is the occasional laughter and a few moments were truly enjoyable but these moments are continually shown during the commercials. If you really, really, really are hard up to see this then I suggest you wait-wait for rental because if you paid as much as I did (to see it at night with some popcorn) then you are going to be angry over the money you spent.
Weird Science
I still love this movie. During my entire childhood I wanted to tag along after my brother, so whatever he did I thought was pretty cool. He thought this was the coolest movie. So I likewise thought this was cool! It was great to see this one again after such a long time. Yes it is dated but I would prefer this over Bridget Jones anyday! :p
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Yeah my brother liked this one too! So yeah I like it but for some reason I couldn't get into today...besides this was showing on TV and they butchered the crap out of it. They didn't edit for content but for timing, so I was trying my best to enjoy the experience but started to get mad because of the commercials and dropped segments. (Don't hold my rating against me...I am likely to change that one when I get a chance to view it again.)

WEIRD SCIENCE
(JOHN HUGHES, 1985)
PG-13
1 HOUR 34 MINUTES
The eighties had some amazingly bad comedies. Some of these were huge hits. How? It was probably Reagan's fault ;-)

Weird Science (1985)

Another 80's classic! This was one of my favorite movies as a kid but like these 80's classics... they're just that. Usually nothing special but you found yourself really enjoying these back in the days. I still like this movie but not quite as much as I did when I was a kid.
